Sasha Grey has said that she initially thought she was being tricked when she was approached to star in Steven Soderbergh's new movie The Girlfriend Experience. The porn star told The Daily Telegraph that she was first contacted by Soderbergh's screenwriters David Levien and Brian Koppelman about the role via her MySpace page. Grey said: "I thought it was a trick. Then I came home one day and heard a voicemail from Steven Soderbergh.She then met the director at Warner Bros and he offered her the part immediately after a conversation.Of the possibility of forging a career as a mainstream Hollywood actress after the movie, Grey added: "Anyone with that idea would be a fool.

Apparently being at the top of one profession isn’t enough for anyone anymore, now every second celebrity is a model/actor or actor/singer and in this and in this case a porn star/author.
Sasha Grey, one of the worlds most famous and all adventurous porn star has decided to share her tricks of the trade with the world, in book form.The book which is finished and waiting for release in the coming months, is a philosophy book about sex encouraging young men and women not to be ashamed of who they are as sexual beings. Should be an interesting yet informative piece of literature, especially if it’s anything like what is 'explored' in her film ‘Sasha Grey’s Anatomy’, or better yet her all exclusive expose in ‘Teen Whores.

At a party in Hollywood to celebrate the release of a new film, the in-crowd are out in force, milling around a bar decked out like a retro beauty salon. A DJ spins 1980s dance tracks. Photo­graphers click away at young women in various states of undress, but the only girl in the room they really want to capture is playing hard to get. Sasha Grey stands in one corner, trying to remain inconspicuous. She arrived late, sticks close to the people she knows and leaves early, keeping her coat on and her hood up at all times. 'I’m not very good at parties,’ she says. 'I’m a wallflower.She is actually very far from that. Sasha Grey is a porn star. The party was being held to celebrate Live In My Secrets, a new 'adult’ film that Grey appears in, but the paparazzi were drawn there for another reason: she is the star of the new Steven Soderbergh film, The Girlfriend Experience, in which she plays a high-class escort.

Sasha Grey, the adult superstar and mainstream movie actress, has landed in pictorials inside Playboy and GQ magazine’s German edition. In December’s Playboy, Grey poses nude in a six-page pictorial as “Lolita,” the nubile and seductive title character of Vladimir Nabokov’s most famous work and Stanley Kubrick’s 1962 feature film.

With GQ, Grey has an eight-page pictorial and feature in the November issue. Sasha talks to GQ’s Eckhart Nickel about her love of philosophy and porn, her night dreams, her views on American society and "the capitalist nature of emotional relationships in the 21st century."

Grey even reveals details about her first forays into movie directing. “Each one of my scenes is based on dialogue – but the language is sex,” she said. Grey, who has more than 50 adult feature films in her portfolio, has branched out to mainstream throughout her stardom. Grey stars in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience” and was featured as part of the art work for The Smashing Pumpkins 2007 album “Zeitgeist.” She also has modeled for American Apparel and she made the 2009 Rolling Stone Magazine’s Hot List. December’s Playboy streets today on newsstands and online; the November issue of GQ magazine’s Germany version is available now in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 

The Neuromancer movie may never get off the ground, but a performance/video installation version is coming to New York next week. When Sasha Grey accepted her Fleshbot award via video last night, she mentioned she's co-starring in a Neuromancer performance.

How exactly does Case manage to last six hours? The program says it goes from noon to six on Sunday Nov. 22 at the New Museum and Grey mentioned those times as well. I'm guessing there's some repetition in there, but will Grey and the other performers be there the whole time? Possibly the "faux virtual reality" sequences involving sculptures and Gamelan music will occupy five of the six hours?
